Tools for Practice Tuesday- National Network of Partnership Schools
My job as a clinical case manager is often bridging the gap that sometimes exists between schools and families. Through this process it often bridges gaps between schools and other organizations. Sharing several cases led our team to meeting with the guidance team of one of the largest school districts in the area. We built a really good relationship and reviewed some of the recent success and failures. This was a really helpful exercise.
If you have had this experience, want to keep it going, or learn new ways to connect schools and communities; a great tool for practice is the National Network of Partnership Schools at Johns Hopkins University. Their newsletters are full of ideas to foster school/community partnerships.
