One of the many reasons I love engaging on twitter is because you get to share and engage in conversation about resources. The above link is no exception. It provides a great framework for thinking about psychosis and schizophrenia. I found this to be a helpful tool for mental health professionals.
When I briefly worked on an inpatient setting with adults, I often struggled with understanding psychosis. Particularly it’s effect on the therapeutic process. The experience of psychosis always looked so uncomfortable for me. It seemed so distressing and it should “be fixed” ;yet customers often did not see it this way. It was their experience and their reality. This took a lot of supervision for me to understand that.
The below FREE document is great way to help clinicians, supervisors, and those in academia better understand psychosis. Click on the image below to enjoy it and if you are twitter also be sure to follow Anne Cooke (editor) to continue the conversation.
