Been meaning to post this Ted Talk by Jill Bolte Taylor. Credit to Linnea Butler on twitter for sending this my way. This talk powerfully describes the experience of having a stroke. What makes this especially interesting it is from the perspective of a brain researcher. It is gives great insight into the personal experience but also what happens to the brain.
I also enjoyed this talk because it has implications for mental health treatment. It is important to recognize what the brain does to one’s perceptions of experience. If you have not seen this I highly recommend it. After watching feel free to share your “stroke of insight.”
