I continue to be amazed about how people utilize the arts to advocate and heal. “The Walking Gallery” founded by Regina Holliday is no exception. After losing her husband to kidney cancer, she was inspired to take action. There were clear gaps in communication in the five facilities that her husband stayed in the last 11 weeks of his life. She created a piece of art on a jacket depicting this called “73 Cents” (signifying the 73 Cents per page to transfer her husbands records between facilities). She showed up to an event with this and the movement grew and continues to grow. Please take the time to watch this ten minute video about the project.
