Tools For Practice Tuesday: Mr. R.I.M.P

This is a really neat practice tool called Mr. R.I.M.P (Robot in My Pocket). Mr. RIMP is a pocket sized robot for pediatricians or anyone that works with youth in a stressful situation.  He is the brain-child of Dr. Charles Webster.  He is definately hard to describe in words so I am going to have Mr. RIMP introduce himself…

There are so many applications for him in healthcare (if you follow me closely you know I am talking physical and mental health).  I immediately thought of using him inpatient psychiatric settings and also outpatient one’s as well. I was also surprised to see there is quite the evidence base for using robots in pediatric settings to assist with complex procedures. Thanks Dr. Webster for your intro to Mr. R.I.M.P. You can can also follow him on his own twitter page.
